About Audo Copenhagen

In 2023 Audo Copenhagen was formed by uniting iconic Scandi brands MENU and by Lassen. Audo Copenhagen is a new luxury designer furniture, lighting and accessories brand, reflecting Danish heritage with a contemporary and fresh outlook. Also grabbing inspiration from the past, re-issuing classic pieces of furniture from the hey day of Scandinavian design from designers such as Flemming Lassen. New designs by renowned designers including Norm Architects complement the classics so well.

Originally titled "Den trætte mand," the tired man chair debuted at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition in 1935 and has since become a hallmark of Danish design. Designed by Flemming Lassen, the distinctive armchair with its gently rounded form was intended to evoke the warmth and coziness of “a polar bear cub in its mother’s arms.” Relaunched in 2015, this celebrated piece is now available in luxurious upholstery options, including sheepskin as a tribute to the original. It features legs crafted from either natural or dark-oiled oak heartwood, along with front brass casters for effortless mobility. A matching footstool is also available to enhance the overall comfort.

The graceful Ingeborg sofa, originally designed by Flemming Lassen in 1940, never entered large-scale production until now. Recently uncovered in the archives and meticulously reconstructed from Lassen’s original drawings, the sofa has quickly become a prized piece in contemporary design circles.

Featuring signature curved armrests, a buttoned backrest, and elegant wooden legs, its generous proportions offer both visual charm and inviting comfort.
